Replace with a nut and bolt to suit
Be wasting time with genuine part as it will break with i. A year

Yes they are plentiful, for example on ebay. Seems the same part was used for many cars over decades.

Did you find a genuine replacement? I got a mate to turn up a bit of nylon that fit in there and works a charm.

I see the issue. A little plastic bump on the upper pedal has disintegrated so the switch fails to turn off.

My rear brake lights are always on even when ignition is off. Brakes seem fine and fluid is topped up. Am I looking at an electrical fault?
