the differences were enough to be a 'never again' job.nothing really lined up.the only reason they persevered was that the owner was minus an arm,& needed the auto so he could drive.

MADDAT motorsport in S.A will do a CA cross member kit for the 1200 for $350 if you change over your crossmember or $400 outright. They make a gearbox crossmember to suit...
They'll send COD with no freight charge aswell... good luck

how diffrent is a 120y auto tunnel???
ive considered using one on the 2dr sedan as 1200 tunnels are hard to find

i knew of someone who put an auto into a 1200 ute,using a 120y auto tunnel(couldn't find a 1200 auto),& the auto out of a ca20 powered pintara,using the a series auto bellhousing.so it's likely you will be able to fit the auto into the tunnel.i assume it'll be a ca18 engine,too.

OK i just bought a whole front cut and the transmission is an Auto. I want to keep the auto box and i was wondering if the Auto will fit in. I have a 1200 coupe with an Auto transmission tunnel.

I know the rubber gearbox mounts are different so they have to be but you don't say what car and what you want done???

Anyone know anyone in brisbane who does crossmembers cheap in Brisbane and does anyone know if the CA auto box is the same as the CA manual box x member?
