that could be quite possable

the way it says "2x45mm" made me think it wasnt quad, but maybe it means 2 sets, thats why i was hoping someone understood the description better than me

1200RC, if you're lucky this is what you've been offered via email you should have a look because if so $500 sounds very reasonable.

i just lost my load!

what does "quad throttle" cost?

You know it doesn't matter which setup you use you're gonna get the same peak horsepower (AVERAGE) but fuel injection is the best REGARDING FLEXIBILITY ( i mean if you want more fuel then bigger injectors its the same as bigger carby) for overall response intercooled or not. Intercooling is for decreasing the chance of detonation/pinging and therefore being able to advance the timing for more power. It doesn't matter what setup is used you will always have detonation unless you live in the cold weather. I like draw through setup the best for simplicity just awsome good throttle response really. I had a friend at work who had a Commodore 202 6 cyl with this setup with Weber Sidedraught,Rajay Turbo, water/methanol injection and was running 15 pounds awesome. Took a day to fit and drove it that night including spacer plate for the head, and roller rockers. I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled 13-14 seconds. If it was a blow through we'd be having headaches trying to keep the carby pressurised (whether in a box or a hole drilled to the throttle shaft) because also you can't run the mechanical fuel pump, the pressure in the carby would push the fuel back out of the carby kid you not. (lean out means pinging and holey pistons) there are other things too....fuel injection rules get a sidedraught throttle body injection that fits the twin sidedraught weber manifold. It would be the ultimate.
Blah Blah Blah I know anyways Have fun
quad throttle

bah...you guys are just making stuff up!

ultimate performance? If that's what you want you shouldn't even be considering carby turbos. or A series motors for that matter. The only reason for still doing carby turbo setups in this day and age is cheap horsepower. And that's a win for the draw thru setup.

intercoolers are nice, but when you're limited to 10psi there's not going to be huge performance gain when there are other ways of cooling the inlet charge. A simple water (or water/methanol) injected 14-16psi (or higher) draw thru system will murder your intercooled 10psi max blow thru setups.

throttle response is not an inherant problem with draw thru setups. And in fact has throttle response advantages over the blow thru system.

we never had any cold starting problems either - used to drive it to work everyday.

And if you are really keen, unlimited class ski boats commonly use draw thru air to air intercooled setups. Never seen one run blow thru...

so say i got a computer, loom, throttle body and injectors off an no turbo 1.5 ltr EXA pulsar changed the a series to a electronic dizzy build a custom manifold as seen in DLR UM1 and fit the 1500cc injectors to compensate for the turbo

or do i need a computer, loom, throttle body and injectors a turbo car say 1300cc

hmmm, not flaming you dimlight, but why do you say blow through setup offers better performance than draw through?

Throttle response. The fuel has to go though an awfully long and tortured path to get from the carb to the cylinders with a draw through. With a blow through, the throttle is right where the engineers put it in the first place, so throttle response should be the same as stock. Then there are the cold starting issues, but that's not a performance argument.
I guess once it is on boost, the performance difference is probably negligible, assuming the blow through isn't using an intercooler.

draw through is easier but in ultimate performance intercooler is even more important then boost level, thats why if u have future plans for same engine blow through is the right way tyo go.
