thanks heaps i think i'll top up my brake fluid and c what happens.. i hope thats it..

Ok.
With "brake" warning lights, it can mean 2 things. 1. If the reservoirs have wires coming out the top, then it's warning of low reservoir level. 2. If wires come from the splitter valve (normally attached to firewall or strut tower), it's warning of circuit failure in the dual circuit system. Could it be the handbrake light? In which case, check the handbrake switch at the rear of the handbrake lever. Otherwise if you are seeing red brake warning lights..even when you close your eyes..then stop eating little square coloured pieces of paper that have a slightly sour taste. Chris

The newer datsuns have a float in the master cylinder; when the brake level gets low, the light comes on. The brake fluid level gets lower as the front pads wear.
But usually it means a pressure difference front/rear ... I think?

i had the same problem then i checked my brake fluid
and it was low. i filled it up and the light went a way

hay my brake light is on in my dash and brakes are fine whats the reason it is on?? im worried it turns off sometimes then comes back on its anoying me! what can i do 2 turn it off??
