1. If it's a "bmp" file, re-save it as a "jpg" file. Windows XP Paint can do it, and so can several freeware programs
2. If you have a hi-res Scanner (like 600dpi), scan it at 75 dpi instead 3. Use a graphics program to "resize" the photo from 2000x2000 or whatever it is down to 640x480

photo of original window sticker is 268KB! I'll keep checking the site for info on how to mini-size. But if you can help fast, please do! "no"
