Check the fusible link just downstream of the power side of the battery. You will need a meter or test light. If you have a short to earth somewhere that will be the first thing to go.

Last night I went to the park in my datsun 1200 pickup. I parked. When I came back it would not turn on. The battery in ok yet it would not turn on. Not even the the lights turn on. It's totally dead. The battery is fully charged. Can anyone tell me what the heck is wrong with this thing.
