I have it on good authority that in formula 1 when they were running water injection they weren't just injecting water.
It's a bitch to setup, with pressure switches, pumps and one way valves etc etc. There are just too many little things that could go wrong. In extreme circumstances you can hydraulic lock your motor or in one case bend a rod or two.

You forgot about the part of creating steem which is more torquey than burnt air, and it cools the block and head. hey YRLOSS what problems have you had with running water inj.? what set up were you using? It was used in formula 1 in the 70s and they cleaned up so badly it was banned. how is that bad? Oh and another thing my mate that ran it said 2 ltrs of water would save him 5 - 8 ltrs of fuel per tank. waters free petrol shore ant. so far the only down side ive hurd is it can rust your exhorst out.
Im thinking about running it so if you could tell me the problems you had that would help.

Do i detect sarcasm ddgonzal? Intercooler water sprays (which i have) and water injection (which i have had) are two different things. Water sprays spray across intercooler cores to cool the core with the air. Water injection as the name implies injects water into the intake manifold to cool the air before combustion, to prevent detonation.

Don't waste your time with water injection, it creates more problems than it solves. It's complicated, costly and unreliable. It's a band aid solution, not a miracle solution for large power gains. In short it's garbage.
