With the front suspension the only part you cant use from the A10, is the radius rods, as they are longer and would reduce caster dramatically.

Thanks feral, I didn't realize the A10 and the B310 were so similar. No wonder the suspsension parts are so useful.

The Stanza A10 floor pan is the same as the sunny B310 and the stanza rear axle bolts straight in the only difference is the radius rod lengths.
Cross members are the same with different mounts. The struts are the same, sunny just uses smaller discs and calipers.

The main difference is in the body above the floor pan and the wheel base that is 60mm shorter on the B310.
A10 = 2400mm wheel base
B310 = 2340 mm wheel base
A10 track is 50mm wider than the B310 as well.

They really are the the size successor for the original P510, because the Bluebird series grew to be a big car, then Nissan needed one that was in the middle. Though technically there was the 610 and 710 series side by side for a while. The A10/HL510 was the direct successor of the 710, while the 510, 610, 810 then 910 was the bluebird line.

The only A10 I've seen in NZ was a 160J SSS coupe in Hastings. Isn't an A10 stanza basically like an L-series powered B310?
These Stanza strut discussions used to confuse me too. They sound awfully similar to my B310 sunny struts. When I bought new inserts for them a few years back, I used the A10 inserts from the Monroe Australia catalogue. They also have the same wheel bearings, makes me think they're either the same or very similar. Which also makes me think that yes, maybe you could bolt a Stanza Xmember into a B310 sunny and have L-series power. L-powered sunnys have been done many times and is apparantly a very good conversion

yep, thats the one. Also got marketed as a Violet GT / GTS, or as a 160J SSS. Not to be confused with the earlier, rounder violet or 160j!
Available in coupe form they are a thing of beauty.
They were rather uncommon in NZ for reasons unknown....

I dont recal ever seeing one in NZ. Maybe theyre just rare and Im too young. If thats the case its still not much help
