Thanks for the info guys on the plugs.
Quinn I live in Syd NSW only will be getting rid of it all when I have enough money and have decided on what I'll put in my ute instead of the A14 maybe ca18det or 12a turbo... any idea on what its worth

BP6ES is the standard plug for a LOT of our beloved Datsuns, including the A series, & many, if not all, of the L series.
They are good plugs. Chris

NGK-BP6es or even NGK-BP7es are good plugs for A series engines. Ive used both with no failures. I used the cooler plug when racing with avgas. The other for normal driving

I prefer NGK plugs as i have never had a problem with one in over 25 years. Find the stock one for your car & either use that, or perhaps one stage colder if you are prone to high speed or high load running.
If you have bad colour on these plugs in a 5,000 mile engine, then you got carb calibration problems. As for the plug leads, any of the reputable brand name aftermarket leads should do the trick. For really high performance use, try the NGK Platinum plugs. They were about $10 each about 12 years ago, or the Gold Paladium ones are almost as good, but a bit cheaper. You can add up to .010" to your plug gap with these. I used the Gold Paladium ones in my GX engine & loved them. Chris

What are good spark plugs and leads for an A14 with twin 40mm sidedruaght webbers.
Also I'm thionking of selling my motor and sunny 5 speed box. Motor has only done about 8000k's and was rebuilt about a year ago. It also has custom linkage to the webbers so the webbers can be alan keyed on and off. You can view topic.
