is there a difference in venturi's or such, because in aus,the 1600 escorts all seem to have single barrel ford carby's (not webers),& the 2 litre motors all have dgav's.i used a weber off a cortina on my a15,& could never get it to idle correctly, but i put this down to not getting enough air at idle,so i'd have the idle screw wound in so far it was uncovering the first progression hole.i eventually drilled two holes in the throttle butterfly,as recommended by carby services, but got twin dcoes for it instead of fine tuning.what i really wanted was a 32 dgv, like i had once, but they don't make them anymore.

For NZ people - contact Webber Specialty in Glenfield Auckland.

These guys know there stuff and make the adapater plates for a12 -a15. The type of webber he reccomends you use is an Escort 1300/1600 one so bear that in mind. Don't turn up with the dirty ol' Cortina 2.0L one..

Cheers

you can buy the adaptor from any autobarn store or similar i guess that stocks Redline Products.

For an a12, order part number 10-212
It costs about $43.85 and about $14 for delivery to ypur door from redline as well.
Try the link below, sylvia i think was very helpful.

I've got a 32/36 Weber DGAV Downdraught and was wondering how hard it would be to install in my A12 Coupe. I've read the carby articles in the tech section but I was wondering if anyone had an adaptor I could use. I was also wanting to know what other sort of work needs to be done to fit it to the stock manifold?
