Do you have two SU's on your engine, or do you have the factory "twin Hitachi" induction system. If it is the factory setup, then i suggest that you do not mess with it by robbing a carb from it. Leave it complete for later use or resale

If you are going to run a turbo with a suck through carb, then use a single, genuine SU carb of a size recomended by those who have run them. Multiple carbs on a turbo are not really a proposition.

I agree with 89mm in all of his expressed opinions.

you can use one but also you can two on the inlet of the turbo with a custom adapter and linkages, much easier to use one su though its much simpler and effective.

Nah, just put one of them SU's on the suction side of that turbo and be done with it

Have a good look at the Post about Supercharging (there is 5 pages and nearly 100 posts), which is pretty comprehensive in all respects with a good mixture of engineering theory and practical experience.

If you want an opinion and I stress it is only that, blow through systems have a potential for pressure sealing problems that are likely to be the source of continuing headaches.

I reckon supercharging, either turbo or crankshaft driven coupled with EFI is the best bet by an order of magnitude.
