Hi Steve,
Ive asked the same question and the CA20 in the Aus Pintaras have a weak block not to mention crap internals. Go for the CA16 or CA18 motors which are fully imported and not assembled in Australia. If the engine build is anything to show for dont touch the 5 spd either...I do hope someone disagrees with me on this as they would be a cheap ookup behind the CA18 motors.

I think that the Pintara box is OK for street use, but they are long & place the gearlever back, very near the handbrake. The fix for this is to move the handbrake, but more carefull planing will remove this need.
