#1 head numbers
Tudoy Posted on: 2004/2/28 6:49
i was just checkin the head numbers today in my 81 b120 ute as i suspect that the engine in there is not the original.

its a G25 head. Im pretty sure its an a12, but can anyone tell me where it originated from, what year, and whether it came standard on my 1200?

Thanks all

If the engine is the original one, the number on the cylinder block will match the engine number listed on the plate on the firewall.

G25 ... good question. It's missing from the parts code chart, but all the other "G" numbers are from utes and delivery vans. G25 parts started to be used around 1977.
