New Member - need a little info

Hello Everyone,
I just joined the site today and have looked through it a bit, but I'm still a bit confused as to what valid discussion topics are here. I'm not too clear on Datsun history so I'm not sure if I'll fit in or not. I just bought a '79 Datsun 210 and I'm looking for a little info such as parts suppliers etc. Is this the right place for me or do you deal only with 1200s? Thanks for the help! Michael

welcome to the forum!!!
we're mainly about 1200's, but we're always open to discussions on other dattos aswell. fill out your profile a bit so we know where your from etc. always helps. there's plenty of stuff in the tech section, and plenty of links if you want to know about datsun history. take a peek in there... there's also a search bar. it works, use it. other than that join the fun!!! but beware... datsuns are addictive...

thanks dazzasute. I'll look around to find out where 1200's and my 210 fit in the scheme of things. And trust me I know datsuns are addictive. I started out on a 240Z and that's taking so long to finish I decided to get another dat to drive till that's done! But the driveway is full so that's gonna stop for now (plus my wife already said NO MORE CARS!!!) See my webpage link for more info about my Z. Adios
Michael Oh yeah - here's a quick peek at my 210. I'll put some pics in the gallery when I get some taken during the day... ![]()

welcome mperdue! The site is mainly for Datsun 1200s (B110), but we also discuss the relatives including your Datsun 210 (B310). The B310 is the direct descendent of the B110.
Other Datsuns model lines like Z-cars and 510s we only mention in passing ![]() You might start with this article which explains the relationship between the b110 and the B310: Datsun 1200 History, Models and Production

His 210-lb310 is a rwd A series car with
the same basic chassis as our 1200s we should be able to answer any questions you have--10s&20s and dimlight65 live in Ft Worth and could be a good contact Welcome and good luck.. maybe we can talk him into stuffing one more car in his driveway a 1200 coupe would fit right next to your Z Wubbits

welcome to the club.. but the b310 is not welcom here in that state, the wheels are too narrow and the cars sits too high, lower 2 inchs and come back for more.
Seriously.. welcome.. i mean lower it!

Thanks for the replies and info guys. Now that I know that the B310 = 210 (US) I'll be able to find a little more info. I started going through it last night. Need a couple of tires and my hi/lo beam switcher is faulty (highs don't turn off). Also the air/heat blower doesn't work or isn't connected, need some brake work and who knows what else. I've got a Clymer manual on the way so that should help some. I'll probably pick up a Chiltons and Haynes just because they don't all have all the info you need in my experience.
Well thanks again for the feedback. It looks like a cool site so I'll be sure to stick around. Michael

Hey, mine sits higher than that, and the tires are even narrower (155R-12). I like the look, it's so original.
