1000 steering box

Hi can anyone tell me if a 1200 collapsable steering column and box will bolt into a 1000 easily or at all.
I am trying to get an engineers certificate for my a15 conversion .

I am in carlingford north west sydney.
I see that you can unbolt the column from the box but will a 1200 column bolt in?

I think so cause i had a 1200 rolling shell and a guy came and picked it up and he said he was putting in a 1000 ute soo i probally think so Cheers Rick
