It's no big secret that the GM trucks and SUV's are one of America's top choices for people moving and stuff hauling. Powered by three different engine choices, the Gen III GM motors are great power producers and respond well to turbocharging. Squires Turbo System's

Holy turbo lag Batman!

This would be really easy to fit in a car with a small engine bay but obviously you can fit at least two in a 1200 with A series. It would also make for a simple engine bay but I can't really think of many advantages past that.

Might be OK for sustained towing, where lazy throttle response is acceptable ... but looks relatively easy to install. With EFI you won't have fuel problems, because only the air has to travel uphill! It would be easy to mount aftercoolers as well.

thats terrbile, huge throttle lag could be expected

they make it sound like they invented the turbocharger last week

a little bit off-topic but with a suck through turbo system, is it harder to start as the fuel has to travel from the carb down the pipe to the turbo then into the motor? like do u have to wind it over a few times before it will start?

hahaha this is quite funny !!
wouldnt u think that having the turbo mounted thta far from the engine would make the turbo less efficient coz the exhaust would be alot cooler after travelling so far ???
imagine if u had this and left it down the shops... and when u got back someone had nicked ur turbo coz of its stupid location !!!!!!

I figured, ok so there's some lag. With a fully ladden pickup, who's looking for instant throttle response? As long as it spools up and gets you moving. What ever.
My question is how the hell is the oil supposed to get back to the oil pan? I don't see a sump hanging off of the turbo and a pump to bring it back.
1200RC, the thought of a 3rd turbo under the back seat must have crossed your mind.
