I have ann almost standard B120 ute which I quite often overload to around a ton or so. Disc brakes seem like a good idea. What's the best set to use for the least amount of mucking around?

hi
Your best bet, would be to fit 120y disc brakes, or try and find dics brakes from a 1200 coupe. This is the most simplist and cheapest way to upgrade to a disc front end for a 1200 ute. Hope I was of some help Bye for now.

I reckon youd need to go with stanza with semi metallics ...you are hauling 1.7 tonnes around youd want the best brakes you can whilst keeping your std wheels...

So there is no problem with the front sitting too high (with the struts from either a stanza or 120Y)?

there wont be height problem with 120y, but with stanza struts you need a lowered spring to bring it back down to earth
stanza strut being the one from square head light stanzas only, the round headlight version has a diffrent incompatible strut

just did the stanza conversion as well, went in ok afta a bit of work with the die grinder, thinkin maybe i got the square headlight version mentioned b4, chucked on the standard 1200 springs, and the bastard sits way lower than b4, think its cos the old struts i got were a bit hows ya mother, only real problem i got is the camber is rooted, ive heard sumthin bout 120y casters and swaybar wats the deal??? stoping kicks arse, i really need a CA
