#1 Brisbane - Wanted, place to press wheel bearings?
Abyss Posted on: 2005/7/25 5:33
Hi all,

I need to do the rear wheel bearings on the ute and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a place that will press the new ones on? (I am under the opinion that they have to be pressed on.)

I have the new kits and I will take the axels out but I don't have the tools to press the new ones on.

Any help appreciated as usual.

Yeah they need to be pressed on and off. My Dad did mine for me at my uncles workshop. The easy part is pressing them on. Pressing the old ones off wasnt as easy as dad had to use the backing plates to push against which distorted them so i had to bend it all back straight to stop them rubbing the inside of the drum.

All diff shops should be able to help you out dont know what they charge though. If you really get stuck give me a yell.
