#1 50 mm Flares too big. Who sells smaller?
vex66 Posted on: 2005/8/19 10:21
Well I got the wheels back from the powdercoaters & had a nice set of yokohama 185/60 x 13's fitted by Bob Jane. I love the look but as you can see I have clearance problems (My fault for not checking first). Now I have to decide if I should get flares, flare the guards or get new wheels. Any ideas?Open in new window

50mm bolt on flares will be perfect.

Yeah, I guess you are right. Do you know who sells them?

I saw some in the classifieds on this site,

or you could try Jeff Taylor at JTS heads in Sydney on

02 96238826 ,9am to 5pm monday to friday.

They cost about $250

new wheels definately. its not worth the extra rooting around and cash spent to fit those rims! 13 inch wheels are basically given away all the time, look out for some and they'll come up soon enough

The trouble is that i spent $250 getting them powdercoated & they did a really good job. I suppose I could get the tyres put on the chromies I have but is seems like I'm going backwards. Maybe I should have bought the globes. I think they were the right offset.

I was just comparing my car & my daughters. On her car the guard clearance is close front & back but on mine the front tyres stick out where the back almost clears the guard. I was told the car has 120y Discs. Do these affect offset or are they something else.
This is a pic of my brakes:

u could allways get adjustable strut tops n shorten the lower control arm. would be easer to pump the gaurds out though
