can anyone say to me the name of the material that are used to do spacers for carbs.

SU carbs.

and i want to know if is really necessary.

Phenolic resin.

They do help keep some of the engine heat out of the carbs. I have also made my own out of really dense hardwood before. Worked great.

Gad to hear that someone else has made some spacers out of wood too.They do work well.especially if your on a budget.
