just been reading up on makeing a efi setup on a a-series. is it possible to re program a stock ECU by varying the inputs??? eg putting resitors on the TPS. just a thought

Cheap answer. NO - that will just fool the ecu into thinking the Throttle isnt as open as much as it is.

Apexi make a whole range of these products...commonly known as "Sender benders"

No for TPS, but for MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensors, MAF manifold air flow sensors)

The autospeed website has written some articles on do it your self.

There is also a device called a "Megasquirt" which is a build it yourself EFI unit...you need to know a bit about electronics to get that one up and running though

People sell megasquirt assembled and tested, it's a good thing to look at if you're doing something odd like adding EFI to a old car and don't want to spend for a motec.

I'd use a megasuirt. I modified a factory ecu and wiring harness and it sucks, and will never work quite as it should.

Thanks fellas the plan was efi for a turbo a15. mainly cos i dont know enough about carbie tuning in fact i know nothing about efi tuning or tuning but i figured efi would be easier to muck around with.
