Hey there guys, this might sound funny/stupid but im thinking of storeing my Datsun in the garage for a few months due to rainy weather and upcomming winter here in Canada. (car has never seen rain or snow) Was thinking of storeing it from end of this month to about mid Jan 2006.
Is there anything I should do or know about before putting it away for such a long time? Bet you guys in Land down under dont have this problem eh? Thanks

I forgot what rust likes, oh wait I remember now. It likes my car!, Keep it dry would be my bit of advice, mabey put some towels in the spots that worry you and check them every day or two. Snow would be nice here but it'll be a few years before the weather gets that extreme.

Keep the battery charged up (put a charger on it once a month, or use a trickle-charger). That's the only problem I've had keeping my car stored during winter. If you let 'em go flat it weakens the battery.
Keep the windows tight, and vents shut so critters don't get into the car. Have a full tank of gasoline, which helps keep moisture out. You don't really need to do much of anything special, just keep it in a covered garage. "Pros" do a lot of work, like jack car up so tires aren't on the ground, drain fuel tanks, etc. I doubt if any of that is necessary. I never do it.
