I have finaly fixed the overheating in the SSS.
it turned out that the new thermostat did not work.
After pulling everything apart it came down to a $12 part. Pisses me off that if you buy something new, it should bloody work

yer i had a similar problem with the mini. i bought a temperature sender, it didnt work, pulled the gauges out and checked all the bloody wires. still didnt work after i put it back together. so i went back to the mini shop and replaced it. got home installed it and its all good now. new parts that dont work really ****es me off. lets hope it all goes well with my datto resto.
