question for RB engine gurus

just wonderin, are most parts the same in the red top rb20 as the silver top one??
i have to change my timing belt on my red top and was hoping it would be the same as the silver top. if they arent, where the hell would i start lookin for one?? steve

yeah cheers rb20, i had a squizz at those sites and they reckon theyre the same for all rb's. also found quite a bit of helpful info on other rb stuff.

RB's are the ####!! my old ceffy with 3inch exhaust and 10PSI used to peel so hard, 255 bridgestone Potenza GIII's as well. That car was spethal

rb's ruin the handling of 240z. that being said, more 240z guys don't care because they only drag race them

yes they might kill the handeling a bit but i was not going to race it so it didnt matter.
i was also thinking about an sr20det because they are lighter but then it would loose that big six sound that they are ment to have

you may think whatever you wish but that does not make it a fact
a friend who swapped his l6 3.1 triple carbs/extractors for an rb25det gained 265lbs can that be compared to a ca18det swap into a 1200? possibly, but you're also dealing with weight distribution/where the motor sits and why are we even pondering this when you're not going to track the car anyway You can view topic.
