What's up guys! I'm glad I found this site as I am very excited in start doing upgrades to my new baby but has to learn more before I start working on her.
I have been scouring this site for more information on my newly purchased 1972 Datsun 1200 and I feel as if I cant really find all the info. Do you guys have a more friendly newbie format FAQ describing the different years/model/engne codes, etc? I've tried different keyword searches but cant seem to get the info I need. What model years are interchangeable with the 1200 sedan when it comes to engine parts, interiors, suspension, etc...? I have found quite a bit of technical walkthrough and how to's on the Datsun 510 on the net but not quite on our 1200??? Can anyone help? Thanks alot! I hope to become a good contributor to the forum shortly.

Right now since she just had a b210 engine/tranny swap and was rebuilt 45k mile ago by the previos oner, I would like to concentrate on the suspension and handling.
I eventually will do a turbo swap of some kind down the line but for now since I will be using her as a daily driver I want to improve the handling/braking, etc.... What is the most popular handling/brake upgrades here on the board?

In the US, the 280zx strut & brake swap seems to be the most popular. Read about it in the Tech Section under suspension.

Hey JD welcome. Where are you from? If you go to the "tech section" and look under the different catigories such as motor and driveline, suspention and wheels you should see a lot of pics and text which should help give you a reasonable idea of which setups will work and what questions to ask.
Good luck. Quinn

Thanks ddgonzal! I'll definitely take a look at this option. Is this a fairly hard job to perform? What are the pitfalls if any?
thx.

don't know about the US ut in australia datsun stanza struts/brake upgrades are very popular. im not 100% if that modle was avalible over your way. the good thing about the nissan/datsun design people are that they are lazy and alot of parts will fit other modles without too much hastel. there are a lot of optins for upgrades for little money out there.
