G'day all you fellow datto nuts, I just want to know where and at what price you
paid for brand NEW extractors to suit a A12 motor.
I am thinking of putting a set on my white 120y coupe to help it breath better. It has a stock standard A12 motor with no mods at all, and what size exhaust would you put through it?????????
I was thinking of putting a 1 3/4 inch exhaust as I don't want it to be overly noisey, just a nice note.

My other 120y coupe has a worked A12 with extractors and a 2 inch sports system, which is quite loud.
So would a 1 3/4 inch exhaust system with extractors give me a little bit more power from the stock A12??????????
Anything must be better than the original drinking straw with resonator and a muffler system which it currently has.

please all comments welcome.

2 inch is a good exhaust size for a12 with extractors.... gives you a bit of breathing room for whe/if you do more mods...

i have never bought them new... had a full exhaust made once from head (extracots included) to tip... was $400 the lot and was 2 inch...

what kind of muffler did you use????
Was it a sports one???
This is my daily driver so I dont want to be pulled over buy the transport dept for being to loud.

Also can A12 extractors bolt up to an A15 motor if I decided to change the motor in the future.

the type of muffler you use would make the noise vary heaps go to your local exhaust place tell them what you want and they will know what to do its a pitty your not in adelaide i know the best exhaust shop they did a system on my R30 Skyline its a 2 1/2inch with a burkly straight through muffler in place of a cat or ressi and a stainless autotechnica cannon it's got a real deep note but its not excessively loud however it dose drone a bit at high rev's
if you have carline exhaust shops in tassie then id try them first

the extractors probly wont bolt up as the bolt pattern is different to the a12 but i think you can change the bolt pattern

I went to a well known exhaust shop here in Tassie and just a set of A12 extractors supplied and fitted would cost me $440
and that doesn't even include the rest of the exhaust system.
I have yet to try Nispares.
I am sure I could get some cheaper then that and I could even fit them myself.
It's all about the dollars.
Let me know if anyone else has bought a NEW set for an A series for what price and where.

I use JTS's extractors.work unreal,cheap and fit perfectly.

I have a set of DATRATS headers coming on the truck to my place right now, cost me $295 plus $20 for the truckie! look great and fitted great on the last A15 I sold

HOw bout you buy my dodgy set (could look nice with some paint) for $20 james?!

There just sitting in the back of the shed not doing anything at all.... even got a flange for easy removal/installation.
