120Y struts and brakes are a pretty easy conversion.

here is what I did, very easy and cheap,
parts. Disk........: VW Caravelle vented 5 hole 114PCD Disk mods....: none if you have 15" rims, 10mm smaller on disk diameter for 14" rims 3 holes to handle the 3 studs that don't have holes. one of the existing holes can be used. rim spacing as required...... Calipers.....: Toyota Camry single pot floating. Caliper mods....: none, just custom made hydrolics.... convertor bracket....: Custom, to use 2 of the 4 holes on the stub-flange.... the calliper can be mounted leading or trailing, depending on where the bleed nipple is situated. Makes for a nice and well thought-up conversion... and it WILL stop you on a dime.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

great mod dude but i think old mate may be looking for an even easier upgrade. I can reccommend the stanza upgrade is great . Although I'm a sook and would strongly reccommend you have a pro do it for you. Don't muck with something as serious as brakes unless you really know what you are doing.

The drums were good too, as long as they were kept in a serviceable condition & properly adjusted, they will perform quite adequately for many years. I retained the drums on my '68 1000 sedan & drove it with a tweaked 1200 GX engine & five speed for the most part of two decades. They worked just fine for me. You can view topic.
