As my usual place no longer does carby rebuild (SA carby sales and service, Kent town) I was wondering where anyone else has had their carby rebuilt and what sort of service they got? as i need to get my cedric one rebuilt before the weekend!

I ended up takin it to Carbitune at Lonsdale as he at least knew what the carby was over the phone, but next time I still need the auto 1000 one done! Yes it needed a rebuild as the car came to a shuddering halt driving down daws road the other day, which showed that only the idle circuit and accelorator pump parts of the carby were still operational with no mains or secondaries! Plus the fuel float chamber has always leaked. It still ain't perfect but at least it made it to Loxton and back yesterday!

That's a pretty good trip for a poor old 1000!

Is the motor peaking in 4th still ringing in your ears?

not the 1000 the 2000 wagon six is what i took! so it was quiet and refined in third! mind you my auto datsun 1000 is very civilised on a long run (110kph), I did about 250 miles in her the other night. Just to get to my club meeting at Swan Reach. But i do remember my wagon with exhaust that hit the floor being very loud on the run i took it on to Swan Hill!
