i just brought a 85 nissan vanette no rego ,apparent good a14 engine,pretty good overall for $110. a14 soon to replace a12 in my 85 ute. vannete now waiting to be crushed .

Good job - might want to check the engine brackets on the Vanette and those on your motor - you might have to swap them around to get the motor to fit nice.

(That's what I found dropping an A14 onto a ute crossmember, I needed late A12 engine brackets as they were different to the earlys....and the A14 brackets didn't fit.)

The diff may be worth keeping too. Does the 85 model have the h165 or the h190?
Or how about putting the A12 into the vanette and selling it? No point wasting a good vanette if its in ok condition, aye.
