'79 210 project for sale (Dallas TX)

Here's what I've got:
2 '79 210's. The white coupe is the project car (complete but not running) and the yellow wagon is the parts car (complete). The wagon has some front end damage but not major. It was runnign when I bought it a few months ago but has carb problems I suspect and I never got it moving. I have the title but didn't title it myself and was planning to salvage title it because I can't afford the fees for a standard title. The coupe is in good condition. One fender is dented but the wagon has a good one to replace it with. There is a little rust around the rear bottom where the water drains off the hatch. I have new NOS louvers installed. THe dash has cracks and has been hacked to put in new gauges but it doesn't look too bad. Some of the seats have rips in the fabric. Could stand a good cleaning for sure. When I had the engine out I painted the engine bay original 903 Blue metallic with plans to do the whole body that color but haven't gotten to that (the blue interior come in white and blue models only). The Coupe has 280ZX 6-spoke wheels in nice condition, 2 new tires, the other 2 are fine for awhile. One tire seems to be leaking but that could be fixed cheaply. It's sitting on one spare for now. The engine in the coupe has been rebuilt and not yet run. Everything was replaced with new parts, fully balanced and mild cam grind from Isky. New clutch, slave/master cylinders, brake cylinder, oil pump, water pump etc. The only things I can think of that aren't new are the brake booster and distributor (though it is a newer unit replaced by the previous owner). Low dish pistons weren't available so I had to deck the block a little, and got the compression up to ~8.8:1. Head has been resurfaced, checked for leaks/cracks and 3 angle valve job done. I must have spent at least $1500 for the engine/head work and parts. I tried cranking it a few times but didn't get oil to the head. Either the pick-up or gasket isn't installed correctly or loose I don't know (have to remove the oil pan to check it). I dont' believe there is any way possible it is a problem in the block because the rebuilders I used have been doing this forever and are a top-notch group (Plano Auto Supply and Machine Shop). Also it could have something to do with the oiler head bolt I don't know. I'm sure someone who knows a little about A Engines coudl figure it out quickly. Carbs are dual GX type "SU" carbs (1.5"). GX manifold from australia and straight header from australia. Carbs are rubuilt from ZTherapy.com ($600 just for that). Custom linkage for a 210 and custom heat shield from ZTherapy. Intake manifold hot-tanked by ZTherapy, new PCV installed and includes an impossible to find NOS valve cover PCV hose. New choke cable/assembly that mounts in the dash below and to the right of hte steering wheel. Could use new filters assemblies (a little rusted) but they are functional. Includes stub stacks. I installed a modified (bent) 240Z fuel rail to get the dual outlets for the carbs. It doesn't look bad and will work fine. These are performance carbs, not available in the US and hard as hell to get all the parts together to make them work. All together the intake/exhaust setup ran me around $1200. The Wagon engine has been rebuilt a coupel of times I believe by the previous owner (he bought it new in '79). But it could have problems now I don't know. The problems I had seemed like a carb problem but it could be something else. Basically it wouldn't idle intermittently. That car came with a good condition 5-speed (60 series regular pattern) and also the original dog-leg 5-speed that has been rebuilt and not used since then. I know the regular pattern 5-speed sell for $300-500 because of the MG/Sprite/Midget demand, and I have no idea what a dogleg rebuilt goes for, probably around the same amount. All together I've spent on the order of $4000 for the cars, parts and work, plus lots of time and footwork getting it all together (way more than I want to think about....). I know you never make that back when you sell a project though :( I'd like to get $2500 obo for everythign - no parting out or partials. There are lots of pictures here: http://datsunprojects.org/mps210/ Notice the lack of progress for months. The baby is a full time project and I really don't want to see the work I've put into the car to go to waste. Email me at michael(at)datsunprojects(dot)org if interested (insert @ and .) MIchael

I'd really like to sell it all. Price is now $1750. I thought I'd post here first, then on to craigslist etc.
Great deal if you know how to start up a rebuilt engine. edit: the regular pattern 5-speed tranny has been sold but i still have and will include the rebuilt and unused dogleg 5-speed. The coupe has a 4-speed manual installed. You can view topic.
