my mechanic changed my front brake pads when i got my pink slip. but it feels like the brakes are half on when im driving and the further i drive the harder the pedal play gets. but wen i release the pressure from the matser cylinder it goes back 2 normal. why is this only happening now that i hav new pads? is there sum valve that could be stuck or sumting else?

did the mechanic bed the brakes for you?
if there not bed properly then there just as good as old pads as there is no bonding surface - ie the pad and disc starts to glaze over and slippage increases

cool
(if you want too make sure, on a backroad brake fairly sharply from about 70ish kays to about 10 kays, about 10 times, this should bed them - this is what i would do to bed them)

doesnt sound like brakes arnt bed in. sounds like your calipers(where applicable) and/or master are holding pressure. crack a bleed nipple on the caliper/cylinder. fluid should just drip out. if it squirts, you have a problem. could even be a brake line acting as a 1 way valve. had it happen to me before. You can back trace it up to the master too to eliminate certain parts
Take it back to your mechanic.
