Head Gasket?

Checked my oil today, only to find that it was cloudy/milky in color. I have a 1977 b210/120y
with an A14 engine. 1.Does any body know of any issues this engine has with blowing or leaking head gaskets. 2.If i changed the head gasket would the head need to be re machined i.e. is that a mandatory step or do i not really have to worry about it? 3.Do i need to replace the head studs or would the old ones be fine. Im freaking out here cause i have to do this fix as quick and as cheap as possible(i need the car to get to school and work). I can do the work myself and my friends own a auto shop. I cant seem to find much info online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the A14's but the A12's have an issue the head corroding.
EDIT: not really a problem if you use anti-corrosion stuff instead of plain water in the radiator.

There are no real known dramas with the A14. You will need to machine the head only if it is outside specs in relation to flatness.
This engine does not use head studs, it used hex head capscrews instead [bolts] These are re-useable many times over & then some. While the head is off, you could think about lapping the valves in to guarantee a good seal.

this is by far probably the easiest head job ever;
you can re use the head bolts, keep in mind that the center one on the plug side HAS to be in that spot or you'll get no oil to the top end. get the head surfaced; try not to take too much off, you will raise compression to unuseable amounts and the cooling jackets get restricted. if you had ANY overheating issues before; get the radiator boiled out my dad's '78 b210 had 320,000 MILES on it before the headgasket ROTTED out; so sometimes this just happens

thanks guys. Mine has 260,000 miles on it and im pretty sure the gasket has never been changed.
im gonna try some metallic block sealer stuff(k&w crc) in the mean time so i can drive for a lil bit. (any body ever used this stuff?) The info given really alleviates my fears. thanks alot.

DON'T USE THAT CRAP!!!!
it will totally clog your radiator as well as make a horrible mess in your cooling jackets you can get by with an afternoon and about $20 for a headgasket to fix it right

yes don't use that stuff... it's mainly for making cars look ok to sell them.
it makes a mess and doesn't really seem to fix the problem.

I've used "that stuff" many times and its worked every single time and I've never suffered overheating as a result.
If you absolutely need to drive the car I reckon use it, then get the rad/block flushed when you get the headgasket fixed later. You can view topic.
