1200 sedan front end

i just bought a 1200 sedan as a project car and i am not sure as to what front end( brakes/ struts/ basically the whole suspension setup)
i will be using this car when it is finished for street driving/cruising and maybe a track day or two if they come up. just wanted to know what some people have put in and rough prices on how much it would cost to do. any pics of them would be appreciated and if anyone is selling anythign this would also help. i have been told that it already has a 120y job goin on but unsure of the booster/ cylinders. cheers matt

i suppose you start with the 120y disc brakes up front, 120y sway bar

These things are gold. Well worth the money. Bit of over kill for the A series though

what sorta brakes are you looking for, single piston twin piston 4 piston?
also what size wheels would you like to run? off the top of my head the struts you would want to run would be either r31, 200b/240k or 180b all of which require sunny or stanza lower arms, balljoints and steering arms then most likely run a 120y booster with a suitably sized master, you can go up to 15/16th that i know of on a 120y booster

i am just after something with abit more stoppin power up front dont really care about the rear that much.i am aslo trying to see what other people have used on their projects to campare what is the best to go with. i am not fussed as to how many pistons the brakes have aslong as they pull up quick and stop. i am also lookin for an easy upgrade so that its not that hard to put in. pics qould be great of anyone elses they have lying around

planning on running a mild A14. will be givin it abit on the weekends aswell when it is together. if that gives you any help.

ok first suggestion
200b/240k struts, or shortened stanza ones (need the girlock equipt struts, or in the case of the 240k sumitomo equipt ones) with either 200b or 240k slotted 253mm discs and corrona or 240k twin piston sumitomo calipers with decend pads then use just an 11/16th unboosted mastercylinder its all straight bolt on to those struts and they are great brakes for A series calipers are around $30-50 from the wreckers, rebuild kits for the calipers are $33 for the pair discs, dont know what they are brand new, but you could always just hunt down some stock ones and get them machined struts, depends on what the wreckers charge and you will need to change the spring perch on the 200b and 240k struts to the smaller perch or use stanza struts and get them cut down to suit 240z inserts

stock r31 struts and brakes this will give you single piston calipers and a 250mmish vented disc you will have to change the spring perch or go coilovers will need a sheer load spacer ring so that the strut located properly on the steering arm also will need to run camber tops so you can actually acheive some negative camber or you could go for bluebird struts with r31 brakes, this way you wont have to run camber tops but will have to do all the rest of the stuff that would have needed to be done to the r31 struts r31 struts enable the use of larger rims due to the different stub axel angle, but you cant run as much negative camber and in some cases you will end up with positive camber if you dont run camber tops You can view topic.
