Hey all, I'm just updating the 1/4 mile time log on the wiki and got up to burkealot's time.....it seems a little too quick to me. Do others think it is possible? Quote: CAR: 120y 2dr sedan

well it says 1200, doesnt say stock 1200
but boofheads 1200 is far from stock and crossed the line in the 17's i would say burkealots time seems a LOT too quick?

I thought so - I don't want to be a bitch...but I don't want the wiki to be full of inaccuracies either. Maybe he means 17.4 rather than 14.7?
Although even a 17.4 sounds pretty fast for an A12 120Y running stock clutch, gb and diff. Fat_120Y's turboed A12 w/ 10+psi only makes 16s..... Can anyone calculation how much power/torque at the wheels that equates too?

I dont think he's ever raced it on a drag strip. I think its all BS.
PS. There would be a time for me but the ACT government seems to think its better that we dont have a dragway

that's cr@p. If the government are going to bang on 24/7 about street drags and dangerous driving, they need to provide/ subsidise reasonable alternatives.

Using a fairly generous vehicle weight of 850KG and his trap speed I get 107rwhp....
Sounds a little low for that time - but even so that is an extremely high figure for an A12 that doesn't even have a turbo! I'll give burke_a_lot some time to refute my claims....but I think he has the time wrong, or at worst just made it up.

A Standard A12 in a 1200 gives around 25-30 RWhp, lets double that and use 800 kg as the weight and you still only get a 19 in "perfect" conditions!
I think burkealot will poast (thanks for that gem Peter) less now school holidays are finished.

An increasing number of cars around canberra have this sticker on them ![]() You can view topic.
