as most of you know, following ghosn's mandate, nis-san u-sa moved it's head-quarters from so-cal to ten-nessee last year

well, the thought never occurred to me until now, but i asked one of my contacts what was going to happen to the famed "dream car ga-rage"

the "dream car ga-rage" was nis-san usa's museum collection of low mileage datsuns and nis-sans as well as historic race cars based in a warehouse near it's gar-dena, california headquarters

well, my question came too late

because in order to meet re-nault's deadline for the move, somebody up top ordered the collection crushed

THAT'S RIGHT ... CRUSHED!!!

by hook or crook, some of the cars were saved, for example, the b-re 5-10 #46 was shipped to nis-mo in japan

but the bulk of the collection was CRUSHED!!!

if you're a religious person, please pray for that "new" white 1200 fastback

i'm still waiting for confirmation if it was saved or not ...

Surely this cant be true, say it aint so Matt, how could you have the foresight to have a museum, then get all the cars crushed, it doesnt make sense.

Find that executive's name....we need to take him on a Datsun 'cruise'.

we have to embarrass those idiots, we have to find out the name of Nissan of US president, lets send a letter signed by the members of this site and many others, we can collect signatures at datsun shows in US, Australia, New Zeland, South Africa....lets make it a big issue. Lets sent letters to the biggest magazines in the world....we can put those responsable in ridicule, and perhaps get them fired! Yes, when a corporation gets humulliated, the first thing it does is wash its hands by firing the bad elements, or the ones that are expendable.
That is idiotic. I am serious, we can have these seudo profesionals learn a lesson. There is big magazines and organizations world wide that cater to auto restoration. Shame on Renault....but also shame on the Nissan puppets that allowed that to happen.
