what do gearboxes cost to recon?

i hope someone can give me an idea of cost but i have a 86 vanette with a 60 series 4 speed box. its in good nick except sometines changing back 3rd to 2nd u get a lil crunch. what does it cost to recon as i want to make my vanette into a traveling bus? i had some idea of $500?
oh yea im in adelaide s.a

well locally in bathurst it cost me $350 but i didnt need to have any sincro or gears done just all the seals and bearings hope this helps and this was for a 60 series 4 speed

I wouldnt bother Id just source another one for 100bucks and keep yrs as spares
5spd....different story
