First 1200 ute
Craven

I have finally got myself a 1200 ute wanted one for ages. Now i've got one what to do with it. Many experts out there who have some good advice so this is my plan, i have recently wreck out a ser3 skyline silo, i want to put the LSD into the ute as well as the 5 speed fitted to an RB20, now i know it will take a few modifications to do so but i am not in a rush and i want something a little different. I plan on putting the dash fromt he skyline running the harness from the r31 that i pulled out, upgrade the brakes and suspension in the front as well. But bascially that's the start of the plan. My ute is already a shell and in primer. So let me know if this is just crazy talk or would it work. Any suggestion would be appriciated
Cheers

Welcome along!! Sounds like you have some big plans for the ute - check out: 120Y RB20
If you have the time and patience, anything could be a goer really! Good luck with the conversion and make sure you check out the tech section on the site for some ideas about suspension etc.

Big job ahead of you mate, but well worth it once you're done.
Why use the skyline dash? It'll take a lot of cutting and shutting to fit. Find yourself a 1200 coupe dash for an easier swap. If you want that modern interior feel for the ute we've got a late model dash from some hatchback that's cut down ready to fit. We don't want it, so if you wanted to take a look at it we'd be more than happy.

The dash looks like it would be ideal for the ute like you said a little massaging and it should be fine, how much are you looking for? I'm in Nowra it's about a 2 and a bit hours drive.
