nothing beats a proper mpfi system. if you use a good TBI then it's still better than nearly any carb.
use of egt/tps/o2 and other data not for the purpose of making a car clean has nice performance improvements... like not needing to retune because the weather changed... those e15et dizzys can be adapted to an Aseries right? otherwise, do we need a CAS for efi? or ? seems like tbi systems just use the spark trigger to spray?

Webers will make you smile. No doubt about it. They sound great and if you get a mechanic who really knows Webers and how to get the best out of them ..... it's great.
I've got a pair of 40s and I'm happy. However. Fuel injection will get you from point to point faster than anything else (apart from turbo fuel injection). EFI would be more fuel efficient as well I would guess.

really i think efi is the only way to go if the cash is there. Its a bit more than a pair of carbs, but carbs have a note that makes them soo sexy. i almost went for carbs over efi just for that reson, but logic soon took over and its efi now for sure.

EFI....
the throttle bodies are mechanically much much simpler than a carb so less mechanical failure. the whole setup new comparing webers to efi would be about the same for a N/A car. Brand new webers are very expensive. Once you set a map for your engine the efi will auto adjust to atmospheric conditions ie heat and barometric pressure. Webers cant do that. The EFI system give a much crisper response time on throttle at low to medium revs. At high revs I reckon webers and efi would be the same.....if you have the webers optimally tuned for high revs that is. There are less and less people around who can deal with carb tuning and problems..just look at the trouble Ronald on this site is having trying to get someone who has any clue to tuning A series motors with webers. I have found that the weber internals are highly suseptible to high vibration which the A series generates at high revs. I find that unless new things wear or break quickly a problem throttle bodies would never have. Yes webers do look smell and sound great, but so do quad throttle bodies!!!

yeah, but realistically, only tiny percent do itb's and a few engineering students to a custom plenum efi

I bought efi off of sidedraft
That thought makes my head hurt

you'd struggle to find much HP difference between a well sorted pair of Sideys, and EFI..
either EFI or Carbs out of tune and their both crap..

I think between a set of well tuned sidedrafts and a set of well tuned ITB, there will only be a throttle responce difference.
