Volvo type strut tower brace

Just wondering what people thought about a volvo style tower brace on their datto.
It looks very simple to copy and surely would be as effective as some expensive alternatives. http://www.hyperocity.com/volvo240/images/Volvo/240engine5.jpg

If you are worried about the struts flexing in towards each other, I think the other style would be superior.
