I'm looking for a 5 spd to bolt directly into a 67' dat1000 running an A14 engine. prefer one in good order $$ not an issue for this item please leave msg or email details of location and costs cheers T

The only five speed that will bold directly into a B10 chassis with an A14, assuming that the A14 is in exactly the same position as the A10 was, would be the 56A five speed & these are pretty damn thin on the ground & fairly expensive. They're not particularly suited to use behind the larger capacity engines either as history shows us that they get abused & broken leaving owners crying about how weak they are.

What have you budgeted for a good gearbox as you might need to be prepared to go into four digit teritory.

These are not overdrive gearboxes either if that's what you need.
My 56A five speed may be coming up for sale later on, but not untill I get my option 1 gearbox home, & that might be a little while yet.

Sorry....Yes FatdDat, everyone wants one of them...I know a guy who is, i think wrecking the ex Alan pitt 1000 under 2 litre race car. Its got a very strong 5 speed that fits the 1000 floor pan with no mods. I will let u know if its still for sale by the end of the week. o.k

I had a T50 behind an a14 in my 1000 and it fit without tunnel mods (I think the humps were removed, and goles in floorpan for crossmember was all). Its definately the gearbox to have if money is no object

thanks fella's i'v got one here in Tas to run an eye ball over and will certainly get back to you all. after all a man can never have too many Datto bits stacked in his shed ....I have 4 68' 1000's 4doors and 2 67'1000 2doors .one of the 4drs needs the 5spd,she,s me hyway runner. thanks for replys
