not really datsun related except that i bought a daihatsu to preserve my datsun, to keep it off the road and out of the rain.

does anyone know much about the 3cyl 1.0 daihatsu charade engine, this has 164,000 km and im wondering just how many km the 3cyl engine normally lasts.

Well mine lastest roughly ~260,000kms and promptly blew a head gasket. It must've blown itself pretty good because it was un-drivable in less than 50kms as well. The problem with these engines is you need to drive the tits of the thing just to keep up with traffic!

My A series head was blown and I could still drive it on a daily basis, it just blew some steam out of the exhaust. Go the A series
