Front Apron/Bar Removal

I want to paint the front radiator support and to do that I need to remove the front lower apron/spoiler. It seems to be welded on. Is this correct on all models or was mine modified in a way. What is the best way of removing the welds without damaging anything

they are all welded on, best way to remove it is by getting rid of the spot welds that hold it on
do this using a spot weld drill bit of a die grinder

And it is best to use a MIG Welder to put it back on?

yeah mig would be a good way to reattatch it, although im just making mine bolt on so its easy to get off again if need be
as it already has a nice bolt hole on either side at the top for attatching it

got any pics of how it looks with all the holes in the lip? I had a look at that one the other week and there was a butt load of welds to bust, having said that yer its the only way to get it off.

It seems most of the bottom of the apron is spot welded on. Am I mean't to bog up the holes when it drill out the spot welds?

you only make holes in the front apron, then weld them up when you re attatch it
