Folks
Has anyone played with a coil on plug system on the a series?? I think i read somewhere that the laser setup can be adapted. There doesent appear to be too muh on the net. Plenty of articless about adapting modern COP systems to older engines of the same family, but nothing about adapting to different engines. Anyone got any links or opinions??

EDIS is a pain for us Aussies because no cars were sold here fitted with it. I am in the midst of a coil pack ignition only setup but it's stalled due to my test bed car being written off by a taxi It uses Megasquirt as ignition only and is ultra low cost. It also uses GM/Buick V6 coilpacks, but you can use Daewoo/Hyundai or whatever else you can scavenge from a wrecking yard.

hmmm so its a cobble together thing then, and there isnt an aftermarket solution?
Pity, since I didnt want to have 4 coils in the engine bay. Tnpshow, keep us updated on how you progress with the coil packs, as I would be intrested in that. thanks You can view topic.
