The A15 is still used as a stationary motor in industrial applications - available new here in the US. This one is used to run a chemical cleaning unit.

this is basically the enging I have in my Cricket; it was a brand new nissan crate engine. It's been well flogged for over 50,000mi without any trouble

Theoretically, nothing wrong with these versions, you might want a different cam, but it's unclear what cam they have.
Makes one wonder what it would cost to obtain the EFI system they are using... You can view topic.
