now starting sr20 conversion picked up and sr20 for 50 bucks just need to replace big end bearings bargain then to put it in shouldnt take to long few mates and few slabs

yeah, its that easy... aside from the install if the big ends are gone then you'll be needing to regrind the crank and then all of the other usual rebuild stuff, sounds like you'll be up for some $$. you should be able to pick up an sr20de with all you need to run (loom ecu afm etc plus gearbox) for around $600 - $900 to give you an indication

they wernt gone just knocking wont be that simple but i have a mate who can fabricate all mounts and crossmembers so it shouldn't cost to much hopefully

gees are sr20s really that cheap to get im doing a 1200 ute to ca18det and im having to pay 2gs for the engine and box or 2600 for a half cut but im in townsville and as the people in townsville know parts arnt to eazy to come across just wondering how much u have budgeted for this project im hoping to keep mine under 13g ( engine and drive line only) but im planing to do some of the inturnals on the ca before i put it in and im only pulling the motorout im not droping it . or doing the diff

i have sold two sr20des perfect running con , complete , ecu , loom ect ect for $400 then its around 400 for a good gearbox , so yea a sr20de under a grand ezy . but sr20det is a different story around or over 3 grand
