smoke problems

ive a 120y auto which has done 57,000kms.when i got it was blowiing a little smoke,not much,so any ways i put a new set of valve stem seals in it,hey presto ! it now blows no smoke,until the other day when i had it running then all of a sudden s#*t loads came out of it.can any one help me or knows what went wrong?

na nah, its done a genuine 57,000kms,i know its history.the car has to be seen to appreciate its condition, she is show room condition,so does any one what could be wrong?

hows the distributor and timing? my carby was playin up the other day, just needed stripping and rebuilding and it will go fine

Black smoke indicates a carburetor problem (or less likely an igntion problem)
Blue smoke when you hit the pedal -- or more commonly when you are going fast and take your foot off the pedal -- is a sign of bad cylinder rings. You can view topic.
