Hey all... I was just thinking that my ute hasn't done that many km for its age and just wanted to know what other peoples have done?

Mine is a 1985 and has just clicked over 54,000km

(and for comparison purposes 1 mile = 1.609344km)

EDIT: just trying to find the extreme ends of the scale....

i dont know about yours but my odometer only has 5 digits so when it hits 99,999 km's it resets back to zero. thats why so many old cars say they have under 100,000 km's whereas they most likely have over 300,000. mine has 95,000 odd km's off memory

wolki101, what model is yours? I'm not sure of how many figures the odo. on my ute has, but i think my old one had 170000 on it... (or I could be getting it mixed up with another one of my cars).

My ute is a genuine 54,000km which by my calc. is only about 2350km a year. The a15 has only done about 500km's since a total rebuild.

my odometer has over 280,000 miles on it.

So that is 450,600km's, f*cking heaps...

Umm... in a garage under an old guys house, then a guy in Perth bought it, did a heap of engine work, then I bought it... my old ute that had done 170k was a little lose but my new ute is so tight.

EDIT: I'm from Wollongong and flew to Perth to look at it and then bought it...

nothing original left but the steering box and frame itself.

frame is nice and stiff still.

now that figure becomes realistic if it hasn't been driven most of it's life. that ute looks to be in imaculate condition, congratulations. does anyone know when the odometers where changed from the 5 digit items?

mine says i have done 91000klms. but again 5 digit. My car is in great condition and it has been in toowoomba its hole life. So who knows if it has ticked over time and time again.
