Steering wheel up and down movement !

Hello mates,
Does anyone know where I can purchase the bearing that goes in the steering wheel ? My steering wheel has alot of movement up and down

I HAD THIS PROBLEM TOO!!!!!
It turns out that alot of the time you may have to adjust the steering box.

you can get the new bush for the top of the steering column from nissan still.

i dunno, any of the fellows here that works at nissan may be able to supply a part number.
id suggest if you have the same problem, you trot on down to nissan and just ask for one.

are we talking 'radial movement' or 'axial movement'?
Side to side movement is bearing. Up and down movement on a collapsible steering column, is the plastic shear pins. This can't be easily fixed. You have banged on the steering wheel, and are left with a broken steering column.

Thanks mate for the part # of the bushing colum. I ordered it from the nissan dealer. I got to tell you, you have to love this site if you own a DATSUN 1200 !!!!
