#1 changing cam help

just a couple of questions gettin my cam done tomoz 1.if i take out my rods and lifters can i do the cam in the car 2.with the valve springs be replaced without pressurising cylinder so valve doesnt dropthanx any help much appreciated

Yes, you can change the valve springs without taking the head off, without using air pressure. I have used the following methods:
1. Clean rubber hose fitted into the cylinder
2. Clean thin rope pushed into cylinder
then rotate the piston up, and it holds the valve from dropping

Yip, I agree. Can't change cam with engine in car. I also did alot of research and talked to alot of people. All said engine must come out.
This is the only thing holding me back from changing the cam ages ago.
