whats involved in a stanza front end from scratch?

hi guys ive got another 1200 coupe on the way and want to know what parts i use to put a stanza front end in it.
ive read over the wiki but im still unsure about the parts involved. if anybody can let me know that would be great. cheers kurt

You need to get shorter inserts and shorten strut tube to suit, unless you plan on running stock ride height, the stanza struts are longer than the stock 1200 struts but they do have a lower spring seat that will fit in the 1200 strut tower. I would steer clear of stanza struts and get an already short strut (with better brakes too) and just cut and weld your lower spring seat on from 1200 or 120y strut.
My daily has Mr30 struts, racecar build has 280zx struts, and my partners car has stanza struts shortened for Z31 inserts. To convert the front end to run any of the larger strut sizes ie. 1600, 180b, 200b stanza, sunny etc. You need to use either Sunny or stanza lcas, steering arms (R31 and MR30 need a sheer load spacer between steering arm and strut, datsport sell these), balljoints, and outer tie rod ends. Then you need late model 120y radius rods to get a decent amount of castor otherwise you may find the wheel hitting the floorpan. Use your 1200 strut tops, bearings and top spring seat, brake lines and then upgrade the master cyl, I don't like boosters.

or if you get late model utes with the M2 block A12 then you can use the lower control arms from that as they take the same balljoint as the b310.
and in my opinion stanza and b310 struts etc are overrated for a b110 chassis. Anything they can do kb110/120y struts can do and should be lighter aswell.

fit 296mm skyline discs and calipers under 15s on a 120y strut....i dare you
fit stock nissan 15" rims without spacers or 120y struts pretty sure that is where the 200b strut has them beat like sean said stanza, sunny, late 120y or late 1200ute control arms sunny or stanza steering arms sunny or stanza outer tierod ends sunny or stanza balljoints late 1200ute or late 120y radious rods quick someone wiki it oh and also as sean said, dont get stanza struts unless you plan on cutting the strut tube down to run shorter inserts, 200b and 240k struts come like this from factory and have bigger brakes

I think if you use very early model 1600 steering arms, you can keep your 1200 LCA's, ball joints and caster rods (need differen outer tie rod ends still). These steering arms have the same taper for the ball joints as 1200's. Also if you are going to use Stanza struts, make a reasoned choice between the Jap or Australian ones as this can effect your options for disk & caliper upgrades.
